guerra ao "terrorismo"

Sob a bandeira da guerra contra o terrorismo, do direito à defesa dos ataques ou possíveis avances dos "maus" do mundo, ideias encabeçadas pela administração Bush-filho, na linha de pensamento que deu à luz as teorias do eixo do mal, do estás comigo ou contra mim, israel ataca o líbano.

Pode ler-se na CNN on line que "Israel Defense Forces said the Haifa rockets came from Lebanon and blamed the strike on Hezbollah, whose guerrillas triggered the violence when they attacked inside Israel on Wednesday, killing eight Israeli soldiers and capturing two more" pelo que, obviamente, "Earlier Thursday Israel's warplanes bombed Beirut's international airport for the first time and its navy began a blockade of Lebanon's ports. Hundreds of targets from the border north to the capital were attacked"! mas obviamente porquê?? acho que me devem faltar elementos, porque na verdade, não vejo nada de óbvio aqui.

Segundo a Aljazeera.net [Quatar], "Israel first struck the capital's airport early in the morning and began enforcing a naval blockade, expanding reprisals since Hizbollah captured two Israeli soldiers a day earlier. Police said 52 Lebanese civilians, including 15 children, were killed in attacks on Hezbollah targets in Beirut's southern suburbs and across southern Lebanon".

De acordo com o Granma International [Cuba], "Israeli military forces have penetrated into southern Lebanon, while their U.S.-manufactured hunters attacked some 20 civilian locations and installations under the pretext of punishing those responsible for the death of eight of their soldiers and rescuing a further two from Hizbollah guerrillas".

Daqui resultou, segundo o Público [Portugal], em que "O movimento xiita libanês Hezbollah respondeu com dezenas de tiros de rockets Katiucha em direcção ao norte de Israel. Pelo menos uma mulher morreu na localidade de Nahariya e 14 pessoas ficaram feridas". E no Granma pode ler-se que "A possible extension of the crisis was announced by Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert, who announced that the army is also to attack Syria, whose government it is accusing of supporting the Muslim grouping".

E assim se vai, de "óbvio" em "óbvio"... aumentanto a violência, a morte, a intolerância!

Como reacções aos ataques, não me admiro nada, embora ainda me choque, ao ler esta pequena maravilha da estupidez "O Presidente norte-americano, George W. Bush, afirmou hoje, em Stralsund, na Alemanha, que é preciso "encorajar a paz" no Médio Oriente, condenando "os terroristas que querem impedir o avanço da paz" na região. Bush, que falava numa conferência de imprensa ao lado da chanceler alemã, Angela Merkel, referiu que "Israel tem o direito de se defender"... mas... "Secondly, whatever Israel does should not weaken the ... government in Lebanon".

Já o "representante especial da ONU no Líbano, Gier Pedersen, afirmou hoje que a organização está "bastante inquieta" com "os ataques e a escalada" da violência no território libanês, apelando ao fim das hostilidades". Inquieta?? Que brandos... "No mesmo comunicado, Padersen frisa que "as Nações Unidas condenam essas violações" e "o facto de que civis sejam vítimas desses actos", apelando, assim, a que "todas as partes respeitem as suas obrigações quanto às leis humanitárias internacionais" e à "cessação imediata das hostilidades para alcançar uma solução pacífica para esta crise"
